Rules Essay

1940, four African American college students sat at a “whites only,” lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina protesting segregation. Most of the time it’s not ok to break the rules because you could get hurt badly. It’s not ok to break the rules because you could break something or scare people.

One reason why it’s not ok to break rules is because you could break something. Like if you’re not allowed to throw a ball in the house then you do you could break a lamp. For example I got mad and started hitting stuff with pillow then I broke one of my knight sets. If you’re not allowed to slam a door out of anger but you do, then you could break a window. Also if your parents don’t let you jump on the bed and you do the you could break the bed.

The second reason is that you could scare people. Say if you break a window then try to clean it up then you could cut yourself and scare your parents. Another thing is you could go out at dark when you’re not supposed to.  As an example I got lost on a cruise ship because my family didn’t know where I was at. Finally you could go “hang,” with your friends then you get caught by your parents then you could scare them.

Disney Waiters

One year ago I went on a Disney cruise for my birthday but it feels like it was yesterday.

Right before we ate I had to put on a nice shirt and nice pants, after that we had to go wait. While we were waiting I told my mother,”I’m glad they have seats in the windows because my legs were getting tired like a bear during hibernation.”

We finally got in and I started to get sleepy then our waiter came and saw that I was sleepy so he said,”Get up please.” I didn’t know what he was going to do, then he got chairs and made a bed out of them, also he got a napkin and used it as a pillow after that he got some more napkins and used them as a blanket, I lied down on it and I fell asleep. Then I woke up and I just keep laughing and saying,”I can’t believe he did that.”

By the way always enjoy the time you have with your family but more on important days.

Melody on the inside

Melody on the inside

The girl on the inside of Melody

feels like she is trapped in a cage

screaming to let her out

but there’s no guards nor

people to let her out of the

cage, She’s banging on the

cage, BANG,BANG,BANG! Yet no one comes

for her,no one, and now she feels hopeless.

Holocaust lessons

Two lessons that I learned about our Holocaust study.

I learned that if someone is in danger try to do whatever you can to help them out even if it will hurt. Also if someone is hunting them try to hide them or act like they’re someone else.

The second thing I learned is that people can change if someone is being mean to you try to teach them how to be nice and let it happen slowly because they may not want to. If they keep pushing you away talk to one of their nice friends because they could help you out.

My diary

Dear Diary

It’s 1943 and the Nazis have been here for three years I’m starting to get scared because the same guards are always at the street corners and they know what we look like. But that’s not all, I’m starting to think they’re never going to leave. But Annemarie’s mama told us that the Nazis were going to get a list of all the Jews and take them somewhere but we don’t know where they’re taking them.

Sincerely,

Ellen

5th Grade Reflections

5th grade was cool I loved the things we did in the class rooms I hope in 6th grade and all the way until I am out of collage. I loved what we made in the classes. I love when we looked at the passed in science. I think we all love P.E and doge ball everything was a blast. I mostly love that I was the first person in my homeroom to wear Mr. Mac’s shoes and that is what I mostly liked. I like all my friends I hope I remember them for the rest of my life.

So Long 5th Grade

The most important thing I learned this year was that people in the Cold War was people were scared about the US and the USSR would go to war.

My favorite project was we made dog treats for dogs without homes.

I was most surprised by learning about the decades in science.

The thing I disliked the most was the rain.
