The big baseball game came and everybody was wanting to see it, not because of New York Yankees it’s because the Lookouts got a new girl pitcher. But when the April Fool’s joke game came it got rained out, so when the skies cleared they had the game. At the game two people who knew each other made a bet, Hazel, her part of the bet was that if the girl pitcher got Babe Ruth out she could play with Timmy and his friends. Timmy’s part of the bet was if Hazel is right she gets to play baseball with him and his friends. They both shook on it just so one of them can’t back down from it but Timmy would mostly be the one to back down from it. Then they got to their seats. The Yankees were out warming up and then the girl pitcher came out and tested her fastball and boy could she pitch. Then first up Babe Ruth, first pitch ball, second pitch he swung and missed, third pitch he missed again, fourth pitch barely went on the outside corner, and strikeout! Ruth flung his bat out of anger. Up next was Lou Gehrig and again he missed three times in a row, but he left the field with a little less anger. Then the next day after school Hazel went to go play with Timmy and his friends.
